Boat tour!

A little while ago on Groupon they had a deal for two tickets for a bus/boat tour around London.

I personally love doing touristy things in the city I live in (being able to dazzle others with fun facts afterwards is an added bonus). You see so much you didn't know was there, & I reckon you really appreciate the bits you've been to/seen already.
Plus I have a New Zealander to entertain & it was 50% off...

So these are a few (out of the hundreds we took!) photos that give a rough idea of how awesome it is to see London by boat!

Big Ben & the Houses of Parliament (although *technically* the bell is the part called Big Ben and the tower is called St Stephen's Tower).

The lovely 'un-official' tour guide on the boat, providing probably the best commentary I've heard on any kind of tour (not that I've been on loads...but still).

The Shard (looking nearly finished! Exciting).

A 'School' of canoeists!

A general river-shot, complete with St. Pauls Cathedral!

A fun weather vein somewhere along the Thames.

The London Eye.

County Hall (right beside the Eye, and home to the London Aquarium).

A shot of the "Wibbly Wobbly Bridge".

And a cheeky shot of Ben with the moon & a star to finish.

I'd highly recommend the boat tour - a hop-on-hop-off day ticket costs around £13, and is so much fun! Or the tickets that we got included the bus tour too, and are valid for 24 hours. Bargin-a-lisious!
